It helps that a long-time breeder has quit and since we are friends she’ll send her clients over to me. AND my friend and mentor in Michigan sends folks my way as well. It DOES make a huge difference that I have quality stock – I have faith that they will help me pay off the farm which is why I’ve stuck with them through thick and thin and not just thrown in the towel.
I have my hay paid for the winter and through to August next year, which is a HUGE relief – and that’s with puppy money. I do get a serious case of the heebie jeebies from time to time when I think of the ex sitting on his butt and how much farther ahead I/we’d be if he’d just done what needed to be done instead of sitting on his arse getting high etc, then common sense kicks in and I realize that in the almost year (woohoo!) that he’s been gone, my health has IMPROVED, my generally sunny nature has reasserted itself, and I get a tremendous amount of peace and connection with Mother Earth, not to mention that when I can’t sleep, I park my butt on the porch steps and count sheep
